Hej!
On friday afternoon we left LA right in time for rush hour.
It took us about two hours just to get out of Los Angeles, and we had 6 more hours of driving ahead of us...
We were on our way to the Santa Cruz mountains to visit our friends Jillian and Tijn, and we very much looked forward to that! Traffic be damned!

We arrived at their beautiful mountain house at two in the morning. So extremely tired. We said hi to Jillian and Tijn and then we fell asleep. We had big plans for the day after!

Because on saturday morning we headed to Point Lobos State Reserve!
Jillian had texted me some days prior to tell us about what they had planned for our visit. "I think you will really like it. There is some easy hiking and beautiful rocky beaches with wild cool trees" She sure knows what makes me happy!
The walk to the beach was so beautiful. All green and fairytale looking!

Tijn carried the picnic basket.

Oh, how I love a good old Rotvälta (uprooted tree in Swedish)!

And this was where we were headed.

The light was absolutely perfect for taking photos so prepare yourself for a lot of them. There are forty photos in this post, I just couldn't slim it down anymore (I had 87 photos after the first sorting out...).

The sky was overcast but the light was still super bright.
Look at that white sand! I love how big the grains of sand were too, easy to swipe off and they looked like crystals. Beautiful!

Jillian was happy!

She had found a pretty feather!

David was posing for the camera like there was no tomorrow, and Tijn had a bright smile on his face. We were all just a happy bunch at the beach!

The picnic basket was unveiled. David is eyeing the content yearningly.

So many wonderful things!

After we had eaten Tijn went to check out the rocks (It's almost difficult to spot him here).
I was eager to go beach combing, searching for treasures.

The kelp bubbles in America are crazy large! This one was the size of a tennis ball.

And this one had tiny fingers and arms reaching up my palm.

We were all looking for treasures. Here David had spotted something that he wanted me to see. Haha, look at him pointing!

Jillian found a large piece of some kind of purple kelp that felt like rubber or latex. So weird and wonderful!

We took a lot of photos of the sea.

And all around us, because in every direction there were beautiful scenery.

After a couple of hours we went up the stairs again to see more of this beautiful place.
Look at that house on the hill. And the fog! And the blue water. And the rocks. I'm a little bit in love with this photo.

So. Incredibly. Beautiful.

Tijn dared to go close to the edge.

The colours and light were just magificent that day!

Oh, gosh! Nature at its finest!

We started our hike back to the car. Jillian and Tijn are such cuties!

Then we spotted a whole bunch of seals!
Signs said this was their birthing place. It seemed like people were normally allowed down there but it was closed off now to give the seals some privacy. Awesome to have an entire beach for your seal families and friends when giving birth. A birth party!

And into the forest we went again. Love the moss hanging from the trees, it creates such a moody atmosphere!

When we got back to Jillian and Tijn's house we were all very tired, so we slept for a couple of hours.

And then we went to the docks to go eat at a fish restaurant there. I was very fascinted by this twinkly factory thing and forgot to take photos of the pretty boats. Typical me.

Phil's Fish Market and Eatery. Ate really delicious food and had a wonderful evening.
It was such a great day with our wonderful friends!
I hope we can go back soon again (but leave way before friday afternoon LA rush hour...).

Today David and I have been married for one year.
One year of being husband and wife to eachother.
We were a couple for almost seven years before we got married and after so many years together we knew a marriage wouldn't really change things, just make it more MORE. Plus, I get to call you husband now. And you call me your wife. And that sounds really nice.

We still have our old names, we still sleep in an incredibly small bed, you still snore, I still leave the toilet lid up, we are still really crap at taking care of the dishes and we still laugh at the most silly things imaginable.

And I think that's how it will be for the rest of our lives. I sure hope so, because life with you is wonderful and weird and I love you more than the entire earth, all the universe (including all those planets that nobody even knows of yet) and I can't imagine my life without you.

I'm in serious vacation mode and can't understand how the days seem to be disappearing a whole lot faster than normally.
There HAVE been days though, the photos in my iPhone tells me so, and when looking through them today I thought it would be nice to take a little peek at what's been going on these past weeks.

Light testing in the Sandberg/Losten household looks a little bit like this.

One day my sister came to Gothenburg and we spent a big part of the afternoon in this park with flamingo showers. My niece and nephew are cuter than possible.

My new sunglasses arrived! The golden shades are a little bit too shiny but the black ones are fantastic.

My dear friend Fia who lives in South Africa is in Sweden visiting family and friends. She came to Gothenburg for a few days and it was absolutely wonderful to see her! Fia is the one in the middle, hugged by Kristin and me. The little cutey on the ground is Fia's daughter Moya.

I worked hard on getting everything ready for launch last monday.

Took a break to catch the last rays of sunshine in my hair.

As a rule my hair seems to look the best when it's time to go to bed.
Here you can clearly see my anger and frustration at the entire situation.

Last week I cut my hair for the first time in about 15 months. It was about time.
As always the hairdresser insists on flattening my hair to the point of ridiculousness. It looks sort of nice in this photo but in real life it looks weird. Like I haven't got any hair at all. I have really thin hair but the natural waves makes it look a lot thicker and I just don't understand how hairdressers can't understand that flat and shiny is not always a good thing.

One morning we were out of coffee filters and I do what I always do when that happens (Yes, it's a reccuring thing).

Yep, it works surprisingly well and only tastes a little papery...

The day after I released This Growing Collection was a slow and tired kind of day. Didn't do much more than take this self portrait.

David and I went to Österlen for a few days.
On our way to the family house we always drive through this wonderful beech forest. This time we decided to go back there to take some photos and explore a little.

What we found though was a fairytale forest right next to all the beech trees!

We loved it so much we had to go back the day after as well.
I got an idea during the night and the last thing I said to David before I fell asleep was "We need to go back to the forest again tomorrow!" So back we went.
I took a lot of photos and hopefully I can show them to you soon.

On saturday my mother, David and I went to the garden cafe Kaffestugan Alunbruket. Such a beautiful place!

Astor the cat was adorable as always.

On our last evening in Rörum for this time David and I took a walk through the little village and talked about creativity, film ideas and autumn arriving.
I can feel it in the air, summer is almost over. The best season is coming.

Before this spring has run away from us completely I thought it would be nice to show some glimpses of what I've been up to while enjoying the wonderful season.

Theatre reheasals with Teater Esther usually happens in a very cold house but since we are in the beginning of our new production we could read our play on the grass one beautiful evening. This year we are making our own play for the first time and our director Frida has been the one writing it. This particular evening we read the complete play from start to finish for the very first time and it felt wonderful! This is going to be so much fun!

When it was time to say goodbye the sun had set beautifully behind the trees and bushes.
It was one of those evenings when you walk home completely giddy with feelings of anticipation and joy.

At the end of April it was Beckas birthday! She is one of my best friends and we've known eachother for a very long time.

Picnic on the top of the park Redbergsparken with this amazing view was such a perfect way to celebrate a spring birthday.

Last saturday I met up with my sister Sara who was in town over the weekend with her kids Hilda and Alfred. The teddy bear got to ride on Hilda's shoulders when we went to a fleamarket.

Hot dog lunch break after some great fleamarket shopping.

On the tram back into town. Teddy had injured an arm, Hilda comforts him.

And one evening David and I ate thai food at a restaurant that almost made us feel like we surely must have left Sweden for Thailand.

Today David and I are going to the theatre to watch the new Godzilla movie. Yesterday I heard so many people say it's utter crap so my expectations are not very high (more like below the lowest of low). But it's always nice to sit in the dark theatre holding hands with David, and the walk to and from the theatre always seem to inspire interesting and fun conversations so I'm at least going to enjoy that.
